Pelagia, Enerin and Aneo take DecarbIndustry EHPA award
Pelagia AS and its industrial heat pump partners, Enerin AS and Aneo Industry, were given the DecarbIndustry Award at the 2025 Heat Pump Awards selected by the European Heat Pump Association jury. The projects demonstrate how waste heat can be turned into green energy for fishmeal processing.
Electrification in action — industrial scale, real returns
Enerin is a Gold Sponsor at the Industrial Heat Pump Conference in Prague, due to be held on 4-5 November 2025. We will speak about the suitability to scale our steam heat pumps and how to overcome short-term payback barriers for adoption acceleration.
Enerin to pursue heat pump certification for US market
COO Trond-Atle Asphjell attended the Empire Technology Prize award ceremony in New York where he spoke about accelerating the adoption of Enerin’s heat pumps for heating solutions in New York.
Enerin heat pump installation due at Roche Switzerland
Enerin signs 1.2 megawatt contract with Roche Switzerland. The planned 2026 installation will produce year-round steam delivery using multiple heat sources for the company’s chemical processes. This will maximise uptime and the return on investment through continuous, flexible operation.
Helium — perfect gas at high temperatures, pressures
Enerin uses the closed loop reverse Stirling system for its machines. Our heat pumps use helium as the working fluid for their best overall performance. Helium has a high speed of sound, enabling faster pressure dynamics, better responsiveness and an excellent thermal conductivity.
Industrial waste heat to clean power with storage
We can regenerate waste heat using industrial heat pumps delivering heat at high-temperatures, and co-generate cooling, for the best efficiency. Enerin CEO speaks in a SUSHEAT panel on the sidelines of the International Energy Agency (IEA) Conference on Energy Efficiency.
Enerin CEO pitches at global energy bootcamp
Enerin CEO attended the Free Electrons bootcamp in Sydney joining selected start-ups to explore collaboration opportunities with major global utilities.
UP-FLEXH aims for solar energy to be a grid asset
The €2.4 million industrial process heat and cooling project UP-FLEXH has been funded to develop and validate an energy system to supply on demand industrial heat availability and cooling opportunities.
Spring ‘25 events
Scandinavia was the focus of Spring 2025 events. Enerin’s flexible industrial heat pumps can supply power to heat with half of the energy consumption than e-boilers. They are a grid asset because they collect, store and deliver heat energy for industry over a wide temperature range when needed.
Magnusson Petfood named as CircleDRY demo partner
Enerin’s CircleDRY partner from Circular Energy Systems were onsite at Magnusson Petfood to carry out the dehumidifier fouling tests to ensure the optimal heat transfer capability, airflow and efficiency on the industrial drying project.
Stirling cycle explained
The HoegTemp’s low thermal inertia and reverse Stirling process works with a dry single-phase cycle which makes it invulnerable to varying input and output temperatures. It can follow the operating conditions and deliver the desired heating and cooling to industry, irrespective of variations in source temperature or changing steam pressure demands.
HoegTemp produces steam at Pelagia fish plant
The commissioning involving the initial testing and start-up of our 400-kilowatt HoegTemp industrial heat pump at the Pelagia Måløy fish processing plant in Norway has been successful.
Clean recycled waste heat
As the demand for smarter, sustainable energy solutions continues to grow, we remain at the forefront of helping industries turn waste heat into value. Recycling your waste heat can reduce energy consumption by up to 70%.
Enerin, CES secure funding for industrial drying invention
By capturing and reusing evaporated water and its latent heat, the CircleDRY system aims to achieve 50-80% of energy and CO2 savings through electrification and thermal energy efficiency gains with a shorter payback in countries with a favourable electricity price.
HoegTemp full-scale pilot at IVAR biogas plant
The HoegTemp® full-scale pilot installation in the biogas stream at the IVAR Municipal Waste Water Treatment Plant has been running for over a year. The site has drawn interest from research and industrial stakeholders. The results from the IVAR installation have been published and presented.
Industrial path to decarbonise
The 2025 World Economic Forum opens on 20 January in Davos, Switzerland where dialogue will focus on the decarbonisation of industry and CO2 reductions to support climate, nature and clean energy. Find out how to transform the energy of your industry.
Industrial heat pumps, thermal energy storage a bridge for stable energy
The key takeaway from the Industrial Heat Pump Conference is that industrial heat pumps and thermal energy storage can solve the intermittency gap of solar and wind as renewables are set to grow.
