Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Enerin AS collects and uses personal data when you visit enerin.no, contact us or sign up for our newsletter. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act.

Who is responsible

Enerin AS (org. no. 912 546 896), Leirvåggata 1, 6900 Florø, Norway, is the data controller. For any privacy question or request, contact us at philippa@enerin.no.

What we collect and why

Contact form. When you contact us, we collect your name, email address and message so that we can reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). We keep this correspondence for as long as needed to follow up on your enquiry, and no longer than three years after our last contact.

Newsletter. If you sign up, we collect your email address and a record of your consent so that we can send you the Enerin quarterly newsletter. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any newsletter email or by contacting us. We then remove you from the mailing list.

Website analytics. With your permission, given through our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, such as which pages are visited and how long for. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie Preferences" on the website.

Spam protection. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to protect against spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA processes technical data such as your IP address and browser information. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping our website secure (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Technical data. When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and time of visit, which is needed to deliver the website securely.

Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We only share it with service providers that process it on our behalf:

  • Squarespace (website hosting, forms and newsletter delivery)

  • Google (Google Analytics and reCAPTCHA)

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal. To exercise your rights, contact us at philippa@enerin.no.

If you believe we are processing your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet), www.datatilsynet.no.
